IMHO, the best piece of music of all time: Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto (1st Movement). A friend of mine's son is playing it as his admissions solo, after playing it at a very prestigious summer camp a couple of months ago. It's literally my favorite piece of music on the planet. And I'm a rock n roller by nature!
Here's a classic: Jascha Heifetz playing, I believe it's with the NYSO, but others can verify.
