saludos a todos! hello all! i usually post in the meds section, but was recently informed of this part of the wonderful MWO, and am thrilled to hope that there are folks out there who like to listen to music in spanish. (and even if you don't usually, the music i'll post is usually worth hearing even if you don't understand the lyrics!) my latest favorite is macaco, from southern spain, who use a broad variety of genres in their music. it's classified as latino alternativo, but macaco is also expresses reggae, hip hop, rap, flamenco, african rhythms... you get the idea.
here is my latest favorite, which was recorded in a refugee camp in the sudan. you won't believe the smiles on those children's lips, nor the lift in their feet! music is a healer.
(and if you don't understand spanish, the most important thing for you to know is that the song's chorus refrain starts with: 'don't let this broken world strip you of your smile'.)
