I remember back when I was a child my dad ranted on about the death of the British empire.
Change is very hard.
I am in NZ and the next major thing I want to do ( after quitting smoking) is to learn Cantonese or mandarin. The world power has shifted, as it always has, throughout the ages.
The ability to embrace, rather than resist, change also applies to getting sober, does it not?
