the 19th wife...
My co-worker is reading this book and says it's really good, so I just requested it from the Library. Also, I heard they are turning it into a movie.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Hi Lilly!
Currently I am reading "The Book Thief", it's really good. I have two more lined up after this one: "Major Pettigews Last Stand" and then "The Slap". I'll let you know how those are (I plan to read A LOT this weekend!):heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Loved the Book Thief and House of Spirits. I'm on a mystery kick again (love the Rebus series by Ian Rankin). I think I need something fun (but good) soon.AF since July 15, 2010. :applouse:

the 19th wife...
The 19th Wife was a made-for-television movie that I watched on Saturday night, so now that one is going to the bottom of my pile.
If anyone wants to read a really LONG book (900+ pages), here are two that I recommend that I read quite some time ago: The Pillars of the Earth and I Know This Much Is True.
I am still on Major Pettigrews Last Stand, it's due today and I have about 60 pages left.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

I loved the Book Thief and House of the Spirits, and everything Wally Lamb writes. My latest discovery is Laura Moriarity. She's only written 3 novels. The Center of Everything is the first and in MHO one of the very best novels I've read in a long, long time and I read a lot.
How are you doing K9Lover? Do you live near Cambria? I went there in June; it was heaven

Loved Wally Lamb too, Sped and K9; I read "She's come undone" and couldn't believe it was written by a middle-age man and not a teenage girl.
I loved in "Book Thief" how death is always whining about how hard his job was and that he never gets a vacation. I so relate this week! ; )
And there's more of that tomorrow, so off to bed with my book (and no empties lined up along the edge of the bed!).

Another book that surprised me that was written by a male was Memoirs of a Geisha. I thought for certain it had to be written by a woman. Another excellent book to read.John
