This is an amazing book to read - it is fiction, but I did check to see if it should have been in biography - it is the story of a 37 year old woman with 3 small children and a Hubs - she has a car crash and is left with a little known syndrome (for want of a better word) called Left Neglect, where her brain registers nothing on her left side - when she puts makeup on, she ignores the left side of her face, she doesn't eat anything (or even see anything) on the left side of her plate - her left leg and arm don't work, 'cos in her mind, they aren't there - it is a very unusual book which I enjoyed tremendously - very well written. It is the story of her recovery and lots of family stuff woven in - mum who practically ignored her now HAS to come and help - Excellent book!! By Lisa Genova
