A List of (Hopefully) Good Books

If anyone is interested, here is a list of books that I'm kind of excited about (requested from the Library at just the right price...free) :H

    Laura by Larry Watson
    Nightwoods by Charles Frazier
    Second Nature by Jacquelyn Mitchard
When She Woke by Hillary Jordan
The Cat's Table by Michael Ondaatje
Lost Memory of Skin by Russell Banks
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
The Sense of An Ending by Julian Barnes

If anybody has read any of these, I'd like to hear which ones are really good...but please don't spoil the plots.

Personally I don't like this book. Her writing style is odd, and I've found several mistakes that the editor should have caught...and that bugs me! Also, I haven't finished it yet, but I can predict the ending. On to the next one

Hey 9. I haven't read any on your list but I hear Nightwoods is very good. Since I was a big fan of Cold Mountain I'm sure I'll be reading Nightwoods soon!
