The Winter Ghosts is about Freddie Watson, an Englishman who still mourns his brother's passing 10 years earlier in a World War 1 battle. Freddie was placed in a sanitorium for continuing to see and hear his brother. Upon his release, Freddie decides to go to France for a change of pace. He drives through a small village called Nulle but because of a snowstorm he gets stranded. Luckily Freddie finds a guesthouse nearby and rents a room. After he gets settled, Freddy goes on a walk through a rocky mountain where he sees a group of people listening to a concert. There he meets a beautiful girl named Fabrissa. Upon his return to the guesthouse, he develops a high fever and is unconscious for a few days. When he awakes he talks about the concert and Fabrissa but everyone believes he imagined all of it.
