Wow, I can't believe this is my third pass through this book. It has a very prominet spot on my book shelf. I became very interested in the older successful folks that take huge risks in life. Unlike most mountaineering books, I found this book filled with a great sense of humor. It is impossible to read about Frank Wells and not desire to have met him. His relationship with Dick Bass reminded me of "The Odd Couple", and their humorous adventures propel the reader throughout the book (the best is the 'almost frostbite' on Denali). But these two guys are also inspiring and it is hard to put down the book and not want to tackle those summits.
