Just came across a site called Underground New York Public Library. The photographer of this site takes pictures of people and what they are reading on the subway in NYC. Check it out.

Lol, techie. You must not have seen the pictures I saw. Every person he photographs is reading a book. There's no photos of people reading newspapers or magazines, unless they happen to be in the same frame. The photos are candid and not necessarily with permission. The idea was not to get "eye contact" but to photograph people in the act of reading.
