The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

An epic tale of ambition, romance, and anarchy set against the medieval canvas of 12th century England. A fast-paced, page-turner thriller, a masterpiece detailing the struggle between good and evil, written by one of my new favorite authors, Mr. Follett. 973 pages.

Having trouble putting the book down to post this...

I've read most of his books, and Pillars of the Earth is my favorite. I didn't know it has a sequel - thanks, techie!

I started to read it at the same time the mini series came out, so I wound up watching the series instead. Don't booo. lol I know most prefer books but there are so many, I took the viewing pleasure route. So, if any of you were unaware it was made into a mini series, you now know.

The Mini Series was great! And Builder Tom was quite a piece of eye candy, I must say! :H

No arguments there, K9. What's life without a little eye 'candy' now and then?

Hi Ally...long time no see. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

The series had just come out on Netflix when I saw it. As each one was added I watched it. I'm not sure when that was, but I know it did go off Netflix before I dropped the service. I have Amazon on Demand and Hulu Plus now. I'm not sure where you can see it, but I'd do an online search as it must be available somewhere. It was very good, imo. K9 was referring to one character in the series and the Superbowl ad being another model for Calvin Klein. If you want eye candy well...oh nevermind. I digress...:H or is that aggressive? Nevermind again! lol

If I find it anywhere in my searches, I'll drop you a line here.

                          Too funny!

Allie, I did a search on the title and it did come up on a Netflix page, so if you have Netflix, maybe you can rent it...worth it, imo.

Thanks, Slay. I only have Netflix instant streaming so I'll have to rent it somewhere.
