I have said it several times in various posts that Neal Stephenson is one of my favorite authors. I have finally started Cryptonomicon. It has been on my shelf for some time. This narrative blends several stories around the Enigma code and the allies attempts to crack it. Character of Randy was perfect, each character was fully developed and believable. The technical side was interesting without overkill. This is not a book you can pick up for 15 minutes -- you need a few hours at a time, and don't be in a rush to get through it. If you like getting immersed in a book this is for you. Some parts just had me howling out loud. Back at it shortly.
